Discovery Centers
The South Carolina National Heritage Corridor offers partners an opportunity to participate with South Carolina's ONLY nationally designated Heritage Area. Partnership opportunities are endless. The Heritage Corridor strives to promotes its partners through local media, magazine placement, website, brochure inclusion and distribution, and many other marketing opportunities. Through sponsorship opportunities and brochure distribution you, too, can become a leader in heritage tourism...one of the US's fastest growing tourism segments.
Partnership Criteria
Partners must be located within the fourteen counties of the South Carolina National Heritage Corridor and must have a tourism component relating directly to South Carolina heritage. Designated Heritage Corridor sites are given priority in most marketing publications where their location fits. To apply for site designation along the Corridor, visit www.sc-heritagecorridor.org.
Brochure Inclusion
The Heritage Corridor Discovery Centers proudly distribute brochures to the thousands of visitors they greet each year. The center staff also fulfills brochure requests for information on a specific region or area. All brochures that are distributed MUST relate to South Carolina's heritage tourism program and be located within the South Carolina National Heritage Corridor.
Technical Assistance
The staff of the South Carolina National Heritage Corridor is trained to offer technical assistance to its numerous partners. From event planning to grant writing assistance to brochure development, the staff is willing and eager to offer assistance. Grant Program
The Heritage Corridor Grant Program is a key opportunity for partners to apply for financial assistance. The program requires an extensive grant application that is reviewed at both a local and state level. Grants are ONLY awarded to locations within the fourteen counties of the Heritage Corridor. Traveling Exhibits
