Matrix Organizational Chart
Under Chad Prosser's leadership, PRT has embraced a matrix organizational structure. The matrix combines functional and product areas within the organization to obtain the advantages of each. Teams of functional personnel (e.g., research, finance, techonology, sales and marketing) report to a manager with project responsibility. Functional personnel also report to their functional bosses, who are responsible for maintaining the quality of functional performance. Within the matrix, functional personnel report to two bosses, which requires a high order of understanding and cooperation.
